About

Welcome to my blog. I am a novice writer with a deep curiosity about the world and a passion for sharing what I have discovered.

Personal Stories:
At the heart of my blog are my personal stories. Writing has always been a means of reflecting on my own experiences, learning from them, and connecting with others. These stories offer a window into my life.

Humanitas:
Human connection and culture is the key. In the Humanitas section, I touch the topics on the values, relationships, and traditions that bind us together.

Scientia:
I’m also deeply intrigued by the world of knowledge and discovery. Under Scientia, I share my fascination with science and how it helps us understand the world around us. From the awe-inspiring wonders of astronomy to the urgent global challenge of climate change, the wonders of health, and a variety of other interests, I’m constantly exploring new ideas and perspectives. I believe that knowledge is power, and through writing, I want to bring complex scientific ideas to a wider audience in an accessible and engaging way.

My Writing Journey:
My goal is to improve my writing skills while expressing my thoughts. I hope that through this blog, I can not only engage with others who share my interests but also connect with those who are on their own journey of exploration and discovery.

Thank you for joining me here. I hope that my stories, and thoughts inspire you as much as they inspire me to write. I look forward to sharing this journey with you!

Why read my post?:

  1. It’s free!
  2. You might laugh.
  3. You might get embarrassed.
  4. You might learn something, or you might just so happen to feel the need to correct me.
  5. I need your help. I seek to gain experience in writing and you can help by reading and commenting on them. Although, I am a novice writer, I’m sure you will enjoy reading my articles, not only for the topics I write about, which I’m sure will entertain you, but for the experiences I will share, some failures, my opinions, and of course an occasional joke.

Tell me your thoughts, comment as you will.

Menu Word Definitions:

Humanitas, which means Humanities, “human nature” or “human quality” in Latin. The term “humanities” itself originates from the Latin word “humanitas” and was particularly prominent during the Renaissance when scholars focused on studying classical texts in Latin and Greek, which were considered essential for a cultivated education.

Scientia, Latin for knowledge, is “scientia,” which is a feminine first declension noun that means “knowledge” or “skill.” The related verb form is “scire” (to know or understand), both of which form the basis for the English word “science.”

Sincerely,

Paul Lee Maxwell
